PSALM 42: My Soul Longs For God

Psalm 42: A spotted fawn stands in a shallow forest stream, lowering its head to drink water as warm sunlight filters through the trees and reflects off the rippling creek.

As the deer pants for the refreshing water streams, so my soul longs for God.

My soul thirsts for God, the living El, to come, and I will appear before my God.

My tears have been my food day and night continually, as I say to God, Remember me, as I pour out my soul to you.

I have gone with the multitude, and we went up to your house, O God, with the voice of joy and praise. And with the multitude I kept your holy days.

Hope in God

Why are you cast down, my soul, and why are you so depressed? Hope in God, and lift up your hands to Yeshuah, to the face of God. My soul, why are you so cast down within?

Remember the land of Jordan, and the Hermonites from the hill Mizar. Deep calls to deep, like the noise of many waters whose waves and billows are gone over me.

God Is My Rock

O LORD, command your loving kindness to me in the daytime, and in the night songs and prayers to El. With my life will declare: El is my rock, He has not forgotten me, even when I go mourning for the oppression of my enemies.

Like a sword in my bones my enemies shame me, saying daily, Where is your God? But be not cast down my soul, and stress not within? Hope in God and lift up your hands to Yeshuah’s face, your God.
