FOLLOW YOUR HEART – Proverbs 28 Wisdom Challenge.
FOLLOW YOUR HEART
‘Follow your heart’ generally means trusting your feelings, desires, intuition, or personal sense of what feels right, rather than relying only on logic or other people’s opinions.

PROVERBS 28
1 The wicked flees when no one pursues them, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2 For the transgression of the land, there are many princes; but by a man of knowledge and understanding its state is prolonged.
3 Poor people who deceive the needy are as flood rain that leaves no food.
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked; but such as keep the law contend with them.
5 Evil men don’t understand judgment; but they that seek the LORD do understand.
6 Better is the poor walking in uprightness than the perverse in their ways though rich.
7 A wise son keeps the law, but a companion of riotous men shames his father.
8 Those who by interest profit and increase their substance will gather it for those who pity the needy.
9 Whoever turns away his ear from hearing the law, their prayer will be an abomination.
10 The right that go astray in an evil way will fall into a pit, but it’s the right that have a good inheritance.
11 The rich man is wise in his conceit, but the needy who has understanding finds him out.
12 When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; but where the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
13 He that covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever lifts up his hands to forsake them will have mercy.
14 Happy is the man that fears always, but he that hardens his heart fall into mischief.
15 Like the growl of a lion and a raging bear, so is a wicked ruler over needy people.
16 A prince without understanding is a great oppressor; But they who hate covetousness will prolong their days.
17 A man of violence and blood, that person will flee to the pit; let no man stop him.
18 Walk uprightly and you will be saved, but the perverse in the way will suddenly fall.
19 Till your land and you will have plenty of bread, but if you pursue vain things you won’t have enough.
20 A faithful man abounds in blessings, but the hasty to be rich will not be innocent.
21 Respect of persons is not good; For a piece of bread a man will transgress.
22 He that hastes to be rich has an evil eye, and considers not that poverty will come upon him.
23 He that rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than he that flatters with the tongue.
24 Whoever robs his father or mother and says, I’m not doing wrong, is a companion of destroyers.
25 The proud in heart stirs up strife, but he that trusts in the LORD will be anointed.

26 He that trusts in his own heart is a fool; so walk wisely and you will be delivered.
27 Give to the poor in their want, but in hiding their eyes, many are cursed.
28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves, but when they perish, the righteous increase.
My Thoughts:
Follow your heart
‘Follow your heart’ generally means trusting your feelings, desires, intuition, or personal sense of what feels right, rather than relying only on logic or other people’s opinions. But a wise man once said, “He that trusts in his own heart is a fool.”
So what’s the general response from friends and family when you ask them for good advice? Normally, they will tell you what you want to hear, right. But those who truly love you will also warn you to think twice before you make that difficult decision. Here are some common responses with their meaning:
Trust your heart = believe your feelings or intuition.
Listen to your heart = pay attention to what you really want or feel.
Go with your gut = trust your instinct, especially when you can’t explain it logically.
Trust your instincts = rely on an intuitive sense about a situation.
A Bad Idea Or Bad Advice
To follow your heart when you in love or making a life altering decision is a bad idea. And not until you find a wise man who reproves, rebukes, instructs, and corrects his listeners will you find the true answers in life that you are looking for. Oh, there are many distractions, and everybody has their own opinion, but reality or death often shakes our beliefs or the dreams we chased.
And dont think that experts and counselors in name only are good advisers. Most of them are hirelings and only do their job, but a good shepherd cares about his flock. You may even speak with psychiatrists, psychologists, or psychics about your problems and future, but their answers lead to death. They are carnal and shortsighted on eternal questions, because they do not know of eternity or God.
Most people have a limited view and no knowledge of what lies behind the mountain of their decision. Some have limited knowledge through their education or experience, and you would be wise to listen to not only to them motivating you but if they love you also their warnings. This is where most teens get it wrong early in life. They shun the counsel and warnings of their parents, but those who honor their parents will prolong their days and spend their years in happiness.

A man that trusts in his own heart is a fool. Yet so many women would sacrifice family and friends to follow the man because her heart told her so.
Teens and adults in love will throw away everything because they follow their heart in this matter and base their life decisions and future on it.
Falling in love with the right person is good, but falling in love with a stranger you don’t know is foolishness, and because you follow your heart and not wise counsel, you will end up in misery or dead.
The Antidote
The antidote to trusting in your own heart is to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not to lean unto your own understanding. And the way you trust the Lord with all your heart is to pray about everything, whether you feel good about it or not. The Lord will then direct your gut, your inner man, or intuition to make the right decision. And when you walk with the Lord, a still small voice will tell you, ” No, not this way today. Go around, take another route. Why? Because the eyes of the Lord are everywhere, watching over good and evil. He sees what is behind the corner; he sees what is in the heart of the other person; he sees whether your relationship with this person will end in bitter divorce or a beautiful family dream.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding in everything. Whether you are rich or poor, the Lord who watches over you will direct your life and steps. His word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. And those who walk in the light of his word will not stumble or fall. But those who choose the lights of this world and the stars of astrology to guide them will only end up in a ditch or dead somewhere because of foolishness.
Be wise and don’t follow your heart. But trust in the Lord and pray about everything. God already knows what you need long before you ask. But he wants you to ask so that when he answers your prayer, your faith may be strengthened and you can know how much God loves those who love him. God loves you.
