You could easily be forgiven if you thought evil people are only those monsters who kill and rape, and you would be right. But evil also comes dressed up in Armani suits, wearing Prada shoes, and angel wings.

Like yesterday, read the chapter, and I will give some thoughts at the end.

PROVERBS 25

 Proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied.

2 The glory of God is to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

3 As the heavens are for height and the earth for depth, so is the heart of a king unsearchable.

4 Separate the impurities from the silver until there comes forth a vessel that is tried and pure.

5 Remove the wicked from before a king, and his throne will be established in righteousness.

6 Favor not yourself to be in the presence of the king, or to stand in the place of the great.

7 For better it is that it be said to you, Come up here; than to be put lower in the presence of the prince whom your eyes have seen.

8 Do not be quick to argue, lest in the end your neighbor puts you to shame.

9 Debate your cause with your neighbor and discover not his secret to others.

10 Lest they who hear you be merciful, and with shame turn you away.

12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of pure gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.

13 Like cold snow in the time of harvest, so will a faithful messenger sent forth refresh the soul of his master.

14 Whoever boasts of a false gift is like clouds in the wind without rain.

15 By long forbearing a prince is enticed, and a soft tongue breaks the bone.

16 When you find honey, eat only so much as is sufficient, lest you be full and vomit.

17 Withdraw your foot from your neighbor’s house lest he be weary of you and hate you.

18 One who bears false witness against his neighbor mauls him, as if with a sword and a sharp arrow.

19 Confidence in an unfaithful person in a time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

20 To adorn yourself without a garment in cold weather, or as vinegar and nitre, so is the singing of songs to a heavy heart.

21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.

22 So will you heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will recompense you.

23 The north wind drives away rain; so does an angry countenance to a backbiting tongue.

24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked will be a troubled fountain and a corrupt spring.

27 It’s not good to eat too much honey; likewise, to search your own glory is not glory at all.

28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is as a broken-down city without walls.

My Thoughts:

Evil people exist because the devil 👿 exists. You get people that worships the Lord and loves what he did on the cross to save humanity, and you also get evil people who hate the Lord for all the good he did. And you thought all people are the same. No, on the contrary, man divides men based on their status, color, and race. But God looks on the heart of man, and even a child is known by his actions, whether he is good or not.

You could easily be forgiven if you thought evil people are only those monsters who kill and rape, and you would be right. But evil also comes dressed up in Armani suits, wearing Prada shoes, and angel wings. It’s not just the church of Satan with their black magic and evil spells that are evil. Don’t be deceived, Jesus warned that there will be many evil people dressed up in sheeps clothing, not just in halloween costumes that will come to devour the people in the church looking for salvation.

And then there are also false prophets who deceived many people, like Joseph Smith of the Mormons, Ellen White with visions from hell, and Charles Russel of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. All of these false prophets had an encounter with an angel that gave them a new doctrine that contradicts the Bible. But the worst of the false prophets is Muhammad, who also had an angel appearing to him that said Allah approves of rape, murder, lying, and child marriage as prescribed in the Koran. But what many of you don’t know is that their Allah is actually Satan? The Koran calls him the best of deceivers, but the bible says satan is the deceiver.

But you may even protest and say it is not so. Then let me remind you that the Bible says: Satan sometimes appears to men as an angel of light. Yes, it is the same snake that came to Eve in the garden of Eden to convince her that she would not die if she ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which God told Adam not to touch. And so evil entered the world when they believed a lie and were deceived by the devil. Adam fell from a glorious being created in the image and likeness of God into a creature that is now capable of destroying his own life over a disagreement on any subject matter you can imagine.

All of a sudden, the evil monsters out there are the same evil in our own hearts and minds we fight. For all have sinned and all have fallen. We are sinners from birth. It is just a matter of time before the innocence wears off and the selfishness and foolishness expose us. There is not one righteous; not one. But if evil is around us and even in us, how then can we escape evil? How can we be set free from the devil’s grip and tyranny? The whole world is now under the tyranny of the devil’s evil.

Long before Christ was born, God already looked at the problem of fallen man and came up with a plan of salvation. And before it happenned God sent his prophets to foretell of Christ, most notably in the Psalms and Isaiah. And then one day God sent his word. This was the same word that was with God in the beginning. And this word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among men, and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father.

For God so loved the world that whosoever believed in him should not perish but have eternal life. Isaiah prophesied that God would send his son born of a virgin. And when the time was right, Christ came into the world and became one of us. He faced the same temptations as you and me because he became man. And then, to fulfill his mission, he had to die. He had to become the sinless lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He suffered, and he died and was buried. But three days later God raised him from the dead, and he was witnessed alive by over 500 witnesses for 40 days before he went up into heaven before their eyes.

Can you imagine if such an event took place today? How the cameras would be rolling while sceptics still speculate whether he was a magician or taken by an alien. No matter what you tell them, they simply won’t believe. And because they love lies and gossip, they simply can’t stand the truth, even with all the proof. So the bible calls them out as people with an evil heart of unbelief. Can you imagine that evil is hiding in plain sight? And the only antidote to heal them is to believe the word of God. If they do, God promises them salvation; if they dont they remain in darkness and will be condemned to death on judgment day.

Ask God to remove your evil heart and to create in you a clean heart and to renew in you a right spirit. For the only way to escape the coming wrath of God is to flee evil and to call on the name of the Lord. And so will he forgive you of all the evil thoughts and imaginations of your heart when you through faith in Jesus Christ believe the gospel and are baptised.

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Messiah, the true Christ who came into the world. You died and rose from the dead. I confess with my mouth that you are Lord, and with my heart I believe in your salvation. Come and live in my heart. And this, my friend, is how you become born again. Now go and get baptised for the remission of your sins, and as a public testimony of your faith in Jesus Christ, you and your whole family shall be saved from the wrath of God and from hell to come to live with Christ forever and ever. Amen, and amen.
